Petra Peterson is a loser in love, she's never had a steady boyfriend, someone who is attracted to her, she's only ever had guys use her for sexual gratification. She's still a virgin though as our story begins and has only ever gone as far as you can go in foreplay. She regularly satisfies Fabio Thomas on her way to college every day, for example. He's only using her but she would really want to go steady with him. Deep down she wants people, especially guys, to like her. She feels like an outcast a lot of the time and it's only her friend Mel who tries to build her up and not be depressed over her seemingly loveless life.

Petra is living with her Aunt and Uncle because her parents disappeared when she was very young (but that's another story).

She is your typical Jane Average student, going to college and majoring in science. She's very intelligent in a geeky way and doesn't have any real friends. She's awkward around other people and tends to act very shy and withdrawn. She has little self-confidence and is easily manipulated.
